Each block is fully completed before quilt is constructed.
If you hate binding by hand this is the way for you, no need to mitre corners , hand stitch them down and have them perfect, they are just not seen at all when quilt is made.
No heavy tugging of a large quilt in a small throated sewing machine.

Any type of block can be used, piecing, applique, embroidered, hand made, machine  made, crazy quilting.

 We have tested blocks with pleating, embroidery hand or machine, Lisa Waltons Cut Out Magic  from the Quilters Companion DVD,was a real eye popper block, The applique can be of any type even raw edge.
All blocks use 1/4 inch seams for borders

Samples in the pdf are made with the 4 inch embroidery and one block with the pleater.

The pattern supplies is for an 8 inch block, but the way it is made means you can do any size you wish and even combine different sizes within the one quilt.
